Okay, we've gotten everything set up. Time to start actually drawing! Zoom in on your image and select the "inks" layer. I do my inking by tracing around my pencil marks. So for example, a straight line would be drawn as though it were a rectangle. This may be confusing right now, but trust me, it should make a bit more sense later.

Make your starting point by clicking on the outside of the pencil line, where you want to start. This is called your anchor point. Make another point a little ways down along the line. I like to make my next point around a curve or at a place with a sharp angle, it leads to a smoother drawing.

See how you form a line between the two dots? Now try this. Ctrl-Z (or delete) the last point you made. Then do it again. This time, hold your mouse down when you click to lay down the second point, and move it around a bit. See how the line segment curves as you move the mouse? Since apples are naturally not made up of straight lines, curve this line a bit.
